The Sidekick is your new best friend. It doesn't come with tights and a cape but you get what we mean. Sliding onto the strap of your platform, mount this roughly 90-120 degrees off of your platform. move your foot to the Sidekick, turn and draw. Weighing only a few ounces and made of DENSE rubber, its gentle flex will more than support you on your tether. Its the ultimate helper for those tough shots making your platform feel bigger than it is!
But I don't need that... Last year I got busted twice trying to stand up and to make a "seatbelt" shot but with a Sidekick, I'd have tagged out in the early season.
Can I run one on each side? Of course! Strong side will help you easily reach shots from 3 o'clock to 6 o'clock. Weak side will let you hide behind the tree for that 11 o'clock to 2 o'clock shot. 360 degree hunting without standing up to turn around.
With your weight on your tether, it provides another anchor point to keep a more natural and open shooting stance.
