- Incredibly similar to a Pat’s Rubber Legs, or a Girdle Bug. The Knotty Girl is meant to be a similar imitation to both those patterns.
- Designed to be a stonefly nymph, damsel/dragonfly nymph, hellgrammite, or basically any big bug in the water.
- The rubber legs used in this pattern contain a knot in them which forces the pattern to appear more lifelike adding a "joint” to the legs.
- Two-tone coloring (much like a Pat’s) gives the natural appearance that the majority of all water dwelling creatures seem to have, dark on top and light on bottom.
